Sylvac Coolant and Water-Resistant to IP65
First in a series of IP65 protected instruments, Fowler's New Ultra-Cal IV caliper is resistant to coolant spray, moisture and oils common in workshop environments.
What does IP65 protection mean? Level 5: Protected against water projected in jets from any direction. Level 6: Dust-tight
The Fowler Ultra-Cal Mark IV uses the patented Sylvac Inductive Measuring System which expands on the old capacitive system by providing moisture resistence and increased functionality. Old systems would typically have to dry out if they were exposed to coolants or other shop hazards, but the new system can take spray and exposure due to it's IP65 Rating. This eliminates costly downtime and increases measuring productivity.
